Likeways

Likeways was a mobile navigation app that offered an alternative to fastest-route navigation — one that celebrated walkability and helped people discover what makes their city interesting.

The Idea

Most navigation apps optimise for speed. Likeways optimised for experience — routing you past interesting streets, green spaces, and local landmarks rather than along the fastest arterial road. It rewarded exploration over efficiency.

My Role

As co-founder and Technical Lead, I built the initial backend infrastructure, managed the iOS app build, led a small engineering team, and drove the product from concept to beta launch and early user growth.
